Structure of communication box
The structure of communication boxes varies. However, almost all communication cabinets are composed of chassis frame, front panel, rear panel, nameplate board, power supply, heat exchanger, fan, and other parts.
1. Chassis frame
The chassis frame is usually a three-dimensional structure, which can be divided into two types according to the thickness of the plate: thick steel plate and thin steel plate. The thick steel plate chassis frame has good seismic resistance and compressive capacity, and is suitable for installing athletes and mobile devices in many occasions.
2. Front panel
The front panel is an important part connecting the chassis frame, and the size and position of the front panel should match the chassis frame. Due to the different devices involved in the communication chassis, the panel opening positions on the front panel are different. The openings on the front panel generally include the chassis fan, power supply, USB port, etc.
3. Rear panel
The rear panel is used to carry the rear communication socket and connect to the corresponding equipment. The installation position of the rear panel should be connected to the chassis frame to withstand the weight of the equipment. The rear panel of the communication box should also be equipped with protective switches, drawers, marking boards, etc.
4. Annotation board
The annotation board mainly includes information signs and chassis signs, generally containing relevant information such as factory name, address, product brand, model, production date, installation location, etc. It plays a role in identifying the communication chassis.
5. Power supply
Power supply is one of the important components to ensure the normal operation of communication equipment. The communication chassis often uses AC power supply and is connected to the motherboard of the computer through signal cables. At the same time, a certain number of power sockets need to be equipped inside the chassis to connect cables to various parts of the computer.
6. Heat exchanger
Communication equipment generates a large amount of heat during operation, and if not handled in a timely manner, it can easily cause damage to the equipment. For this reason, a heat exchanger is installed in the communication box to timely dissipate heat and ensure the long-term stable operation of the communication equipment.
7. Fan
The fan in the communication box is generally used for functions such as heat dissipation or air circulation. In the communication box, when the communication equipment is working, it is often necessary to remove heat from one side of the box. Due to the need for air flow for internal cooling, it is necessary to add a fan inside the chassis.
