1、 Working principle of T-iron drive head

The T-type ferrite drive head, also known as the T-type ferrite vibration unit, utilizes a magnetic field and current to act on an iron wing film to generate sound waves. In general electromagnetic driven earphones, sound is produced by vibrating the diaphragm through a wire in a magnetic field. The T-iron driving head electromagnetic coil replaces the position of the diaphragm and does not directly drive the diaphragm. Instead, it controls the vibration of the iron wing film through a magnetic field while generating sound output.

As shown in the figure, when the current enters the wire coil, a magnetic field is generated to act on the iron fin film, causing it to vibrate under the action of the magnetic field, resulting in sound output. In addition, due to the flow of current and the effect of magnetic field, the vibration frequency and amplitude of the iron fin film can be adjusted to achieve better audio performance.

2、 Advantages and disadvantages of T-iron drive head

1. Advantages:

(1) Low distortion.

The T-iron drive head does not have an electromagnetic driven magnetic core, so it can avoid some inevitable distortions, such as those caused by thermal and electromagnetic induction.

(2) Low distortion can restore more realistic audio details.

Due to its low magnetic dissipation, it can more faithfully restore details and be clearer and more thorough when dealing with high-frequency details.

(3) The sound quality is more natural.

When the T-iron drive head emits sound, the sound is closer to natural sound.

2. Disadvantages:

(1) The price is relatively high.

The T-iron driver head is mainly suitable for high-quality audio products such as high-end headphones and speakers, and its price is naturally more expensive.

(2) Poor dynamic response.

Due to the large motion inertia of the iron wing film, there may be some shortcomings in the handling of the response dynamic range of the T iron drive head.

(3) Large volume.

Due to the high thickness and hardness of the iron wing film, compared to the electromagnetic diaphragm, the T-iron drive head requires more space, and there is still some room for improvement in the development trend compared to the electromagnetic diaphragm.

It should be noted that although the disadvantage of the T-iron drive head is prominent, its performance is superior to that of the electromagnetic diaphragm in certain aspects, and it has better performance in some areas of music performance.
